In the natural biotopes of shrimps and crabs, fallen leaves play an important role in the diet. The animals love to graze decomposing leaves with the biofilm growing on them. For a biologically balanced diet, vegetarian food should therefore be a regular feature on the menu of all shrimp and crabs.
The leaves of the Indian coral tree - known as "Dadap" in its native country - are 100% natural and an optimal food supplement for all freshwater dwarf shrimps. The leaves are freshly picked, hand-picked and gently dried.
They are characterized by a high content of essential vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids and plant enzymes. In addition, they provide valuable dietary fiber that aids digestion. Due to their high protein content of approx. 30%, they are often used in their home countries as high-quality livestock feed.
ShrimpKing Dadap Leaves is a natural supplementary food and is an excellent addition to the main food. The dry leaves soak up water in the aquarium and sink to the bottom within 1-2 days. A biofilm of bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms that ferment ("pre-digest") the leaf tissue forms on the surface. This natural growth is enthusiastically grazed by the shrimps. It contains all the nutrients and building blocks that they need on a daily basis. The fibers of the leaves act as fiber and promote healthy digestion. Valuable secondary plant substances strengthen the body's defenses and support healthy development. ShrimpKing Dadap Leaves ensure healthy, balanced growth, more vitality and the joy of reproduction.
ShrimpKing Dadap Leaves have also proven their worth in the professional keeping and breeding of Caridina and Neocaridina species as a nutritionally high-quality supplementary food. As the biological decomposition takes about 1-2 weeks, every animal has enough opportunity to eat. There is no food stress, which is especially advantageous for less assertive animals and young animals. In the end only the filigree leaf skeleton remains.
Professional tip: ShrimpKing Dadap Leaves are perfect as a natural supply food for weekends or vacations - without unnecessarily polluting the water. Simply put them into the aquarium before your vacation and you can go on vacation relaxed, with a clear conscience that your beloved shrimps are optimally supplied.
ShrimpKing Dadap Leaves are also ideal as a food supplement for dwarf crayfish (CPOs), snails and growth-eating catfish (e.g. Ancistrus species).

SUSTAINABILITY AS A COMPANY PHILOSOPHY
Dennerle offers products for the aquarist that can do more than merely fight symptoms. We likewise ensure that even at the production stage, natural resources are used sparingly. But it should also be possible to use the products themselves in an environmentally sustainable way – for example by having an above-average lifespan (e.g. Trocal) or by using concentrates to reduce packaging waste (e.g. water care). We design functioning, coordinated products which are oriented towards maintaining the natural cycle and are harmless to the environment, people and animals. In doing so we make it possible to experience a bit of nature at home in a sustainable way.
EXPERIENCE NATURE
The „aquarium“ ecosystem – complex but not complicated.
Every aquarium is a biological system, the individual factors of which are inextricably linked. According to the Dennerle philosophy, the foundation of an aquarium is healthy plant growth, because the plants constantly remove harmful substances from the water and simultaneously produce the oxygen that the fish need to survive. Since 1966, Dennerle has taken a holistic view of the aquarium ecosystem in order to easily replicate the biological cycles as a functioning system equivalent to natural processes. Our coordinated products form a system with which underwater landscapes are easy and safe to care for.
