*) Compared to many other pumps with a similar wattage, the Vento pumps build up a much higher pressure, which leads to a higher performance. Of course, this "power" has to come from somewhere. They cannot therefore be "silent" and should be set up on a suitable surface (if possible, no hollow spaces underneath - perhaps a small foam mat - make sure that cables and air hoses do not rest against anything and vibrate, etc.). As with any diaphragm pump, operation without counterpressure (i.e. when no filter is connected) is not meaningful. We are happy to advise you on the pumps (we ourselves have a Vento 4.0 in operation that we hardly hear) and on setting them up. Please just contact us by phone or email.
