Plant name: Pinguicula 'Aphrodite Clone Mini This unique variety, bred by renowned breeders J.Flisek and K.Pasek in the Czech Republic in 1998, is the result of a cross between two species: Pinguicula moctezumae and Pinguicula agnata.
Pinguicula 'Aphrodite Clone Mini' is a real gem among insectivorous plants, retaining all the features of its larger counterpart Pinguicula 'Aphrodite, but in a compact, miniature form. Long, narrow leaves with rounded tips create a summer rosette that, despite its small size, is equally impressive. Moreover, this plant blooms all year round, and the color and size of the flowers change as the flowers age.
Color and size: The leaves of this plant can reach up to 12 cm in length and 2 cm in width. The color of the leaves can vary from green to dark red, depending on the intensity of light.
Light: The plant prefers partial to full sunlight or the equivalent of growing light, illumination 16 hours a day.
Substrate: The best results are achieved in the substrate recommended by Aqua Art.
Feeding: The plant loves bedbugs, dried earthworms, fish food.
Humidity: Ideal humidity is 50 to 80% with adequate airflow. During the insectivorous phase, sufficient distilled water should be provided to keep the media moist. Temperature: The plant grows well at temperatures between 22°C and 29°C.
Dormancy: it is a plant that does not go through a period of dormancy, which means that it will please the eye with its beauty all year round, but the plant may stop growing if the temperature or humidity is too low.
