Drosera spatulata, also known as spoon-leaf sundew, is a small, perennial, flowering insectivorous plant with spoon-shaped leaves, red traps and many tentacles. The species name comes from the Latin word "spatulata", which means "spatula-shaped" and refers to the shape of the leaves. This species is very variable, but usually the plants reach a diameter of 4 cm. This plant is not only beautiful, but also extremely efficient at catching and digesting small insects, making it a great addition to any microterrarium. It can bloom at different times of the year, but more abundantly in the summer months.
